David was introduced to me via a mutual friend some 20 years ago, and although I never became a close friend, the dealings I had with him were always friendly and jovial. At heart he was clearly a very kind and caring person, and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. I am also aware that he became a prominent member of Rotary, becoming the President of both Lewisham and Lewisham and Penge Rotary Clubs.
